Our Mission

Our mission is to promote and foster an interest in gardening and related community projects.

Who We Are

The Newbury Garden Club has been in existence for more than 50 years. We have a membership of 35, some of whom have been with the club since 1966. Our members are dedicated and committed to learning, exchanging ideas, sharing knowledge of plants and their extensive gardening experiences.

What We Do

We are an active club that meets monthly from March through December. Our program committee develops unique and educational events throughout the year. For example: field trips to private and public gardens or specialized nurseries, floral and other types of related demonstrations and workshops, and outside speakers come to share their subject matter expertise on a topic of interest to us. Programs are held in the morning and are followed by a luncheon and business meeting hosted at one of our member's homes. Every member participates in some club initiative such as program planning, hosting or managing an event, co-hosting an event, identifying interesting locales for field trips, developing related activities, and getting involved in community garden projects.
