March 13
Controlling Invasive Plants in Your Garden
Barb McIntosh, Master Gardener from the Massachusetts Gardener Association  will identify the invasive plants in our area and  how to control them in our gardens. She will explain how controlling invasive plants  is one of the best ways we can respond to climate change.

April 10
Backyard Composting
Barb McIntosh, Master Gardener, will return with a presentation on composting. She will teach us the perfect recipe for successful composting in your own backyard.

May 8
A Petal Unfolds
Jill Sczepanski will guide us in the art of making a crepe paper flower. Something new and different and requires no additional maintenance. Please bring an open mind and your creative spirit along with sharp scissors with a comfortable grip. All other materials will be provided.

June 12
Movable Feast & Garden Tour
This unique meeting format will be a traveling garden tour to visit three members’ private gardens and enjoy delicious food and drinks in each garden. Carpooling is advised.

July 10
Pressed Flower Greeting Card ~ Workshop
Jill Gourley will lead this workshop as we make six greeting cards embellished with pressed flowers from your own garden. To prepare for this workshop please cut and press flowers from your own flower garden in advance. All other materials will be provided.

August 14 ~ Field Trip
The Gardens of the Clipper City Trail
Please join us on Newburyport’s tranquil Rail Trail for a guided tour of The Vegetable Garden and The Butterfly Garden. Paula Etsey (founder) and Carolyn Monahan (member) of The Women in Action Huddle will share the gardens inspiration, history and community impact.

September 11 ~ Field Trip
Trip to Old Wild Farm, E. Broadway, Haverhill, MA
This month we will be visiting Old Wild Farm. It is a lovely farm that grow fruits, vegetables, flowers, hay and raise animals. Owners strive to grow in harmony with nature and follow sustainable agricultural practices. After our tour you may pick your own flower bouquet from their PYO flower field. September is dahlia month.

October 9 ~ Field Trip
Topsfield Fair, 207 Boston Street, Topsfield, MA
The Topsfield Fair is known as “America’s Oldest County Fair” which began in 1818. Exhibits offer something for everyone, from Arts and Crafts, to Beekeeping, Flowers, Produce, Livestock, the famous “Great Pumpkin’ Weigh Off and more!  $10 copay will apply.

November 13
Decorative Tabletop Christmas Tree ~ Workshop
Please join us for a festive workshop led by Hilda Parrott. We will each craft our own unique decorative Christmas tree, perfect for the holidays. Please bring a mix of evergreens, pine cones, berries, dried fruits or treasures from the sea.  $ 10 copay will apply.
